The event took guests worlds away… which was the exact intention of Hayley of Hayley Parker PR and I when first brainstorming for this Winter inspired oasis with a Mediterranean twist, that would launch her brand and present her into the PR world of Perth (& the world). Over many coffees, thousands of ideas were floating around, however we found ourselves back at the idea of wanting guests to feel like they were whisked away to somewhere unfamiliar, somewhere they hadn't been before, and to experience something new for the first time. Hayley's vision to me was clear, she wanted to present herself into the market as a Luxury Resort specialist, however there was only one concern on the table - we were currently in Summer and with the months it would take to plan the launch, we would find ourselves having to wait a year for the next Summer season.
With too much excitement and having our hearts set on the Villa Kula space, after seeing it for the first time (safe to say our eyes light up with love hearts), it was time to start collating the creatives in Perth we wanted to help create our vision, and the guest list we wanted to enjoy and experience it, whilst also figuring out how we could create a luxury resort feel in the middle of Winter (May, 2016).
The night was totally immersive playing to all the senses & was filled with glamour, luxury & a sense of relaxation – allowing the feeling of a getaway for a three hour span.
Once Sheridan Tjhung came on board as the florist, and we knew we had a roof over the venue , we decided to transform the white-washed space into a sophisticated take on resort living with three definitive but integrated sections & non-allocated seating, allowing each individual to experience the space at their own pace, in their own way. The night was totally immersive playing to all the senses & was filled with glamour, luxury & a sense of relaxation – allowing the feeling of a getaway for a three hour span.
Guests enjoyed a decadent grazing table created by Tiffany Keal Creative Studio, the lavish spread was adorned with beautiful local & international produce. Cilk rosewater was the non-alcoholic drink of choice, whilst resort inspired cocktails were doing the rounds, exclusively designed with exotic garnishes and customised by Ultimo Catering.
On arrival each guest received a HPPR gift bag that had a number placed on the bottom, which was used to gift prizes to a few lucky ladies, and contained a few keepsakes from the night including the Olympia leather keyrings, and special Villa Kula offers.
It was such a pleasure to work with the dream team on this project, and all the risks that were taken were definitely worth it in the end. The night was pure bliss and truly opened guests eyes to a new and exciting take on Luxury Resort.
